Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using the A&B Codex platform (the "Platform"), owned by A&B Academy, Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 50.460.163.0001/25, you fully agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you should not use the Platform.

2. Description of the Service

A&B Codex is an artificial intelligence platform that helps create original cocktail menus, technical recipe sheets and sensory analyses, based on A&B Academy's mixology methodology and on the information provided by the user in each project's briefing.

3. Registration and Access Account

To use the Platform, you must have an active subscription and register with true, complete and up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out under your account.

4. Plans, Payment and Usage Limits

Access to the Platform is provided upon purchase of one of the subscription plans, processed through Stripe, an international payment processor. The price charged is set according to the subscriber's market — Brazil (in Brazilian Reais) or International (in US Dollars) — never by manual currency conversion, and is always confirmed at the time of purchase. Each plan has a limit on the number of cocktail menus that can be generated per month (or, for one-time access plans, a total limit), as described on the plans page at the time of purchase. The "A&B Academy Consultants" plan is a private offer available only to former Bar Consulting Course students, and does not appear on the public plans page.

5. Nature of AI-Generated Suggestions (VERY IMPORTANT)

Recipes, technical recipe sheets, alcohol-by-volume (ABV) calculations and other content generated by the Platform's artificial intelligence are technical starting-point suggestions, built on flavor-pairing rules and professional recipe structures. They DO NOT replace the judgment, experience and human validation of a qualified bar professional.

It is the user's sole responsibility to bench-test (taste, adjust acidity, sweetness, dilution and other sensory characteristics) any recipe generated by the Platform before including it in a commercial menu, event, or any context where it will be sold to the public. No recipe should be sold commercially without this prior validation.

6. Limitation of Liability

A&B Academy is not liable for any operational, financial, commercial or other losses arising from the use of recipes and other content generated by the Platform without proper prior human validation, including, but not limited to: customer dissatisfaction, wasted ingredients, allergic reactions, unforeseen interactions between ingredients, or any other damage resulting from the direct, non-validated application of the generated content.

The Platform is provided "as is", and A&B Academy does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the generated results will perfectly meet the user's expectations in every case.

7. Intellectual Property

Cocktail menus generated for your account may be freely used by you for commercial purposes at your own venue or project. However, the A&B Codex Platform, its methodology, brand, layout, source code and other elements that make it up are the exclusive property of A&B Academy, and their reproduction, reverse engineering, copying or resale of access without express authorization is prohibited.

8. Proper Use of the Platform

The user is prohibited from: sharing their access credentials with unauthorized third parties; using the Platform for unlawful purposes; attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' systems or data; or reselling, sublicensing or transferring access to the Platform without A&B Academy's prior authorization.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

Your subscription can be cancelled at any time, directly through the Stripe Billing Portal, accessible via the "Manage Subscription" button inside your Subscriber Panel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for — you retain normal access until that date, and no new charge is made afterward.

Consumers who purchase online from Brazil have the right of withdrawal set out in Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, and may request a refund within 7 (seven) calendar days of the purchase. International-market subscribers have the rights afforded by the consumer protection legislation applicable in their country. To request a refund within the applicable period, please contact us using the email address in section 12.

10. Changes to these Terms

These Terms and Conditions of Use may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of A&B Academy's domicile are elected to settle any disputes arising from these Terms, with express waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.
